Axeda Applications Help

Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications  (Axeda Applications) contain tools for viewing and managing asset information in your Axeda® Platform. The Platform may contain information from intelligent assets running Axeda® Gateway, Axeda® Connector Agents, or Axeda® Agent Embedded Agents or, from intelligent assets running Axeda® IDM Agents (formerly the Questra® Service Agent), or from "smart", mobile or fixed, wireless assets running agents created using one of the Axeda® AWP toolkits, as well as information entered from the various pages of the applications.

The Home page for the applications shows recent information and statuses of assets to which you have privileges. It also contains a tool for searching the Platform (results are based on your privileges), and provides links to all Axeda Applications and tools to which you have privileges.

Information shown…

o        Explore module - shows the total number of items of the related type in the Platform; the items shown are those to which you have privileges. You can select an item count to view more information for those items. The types of items are based on your Applications privileges and can include the following: assets, gateways, systems, models, organizations, regions, missing assets, Access sessions, and software packages.

o        Recent assets module - The assets that you have most recently viewed in the Axeda® Service application. You can select an asset in this module to display its Asset dashboard (in the Axeda® Service application).

Note: Only some features of the Axeda® IDM Agent are supported; for a description of the supported features, refer to Axeda IDM Agents.

What do you want to do?

Search for assets - This module enables you to search for your assets based on search criteria you enter. Select an asset property (organization name, asset name, asset serial number, location), type the value (complete or partial, using wildcards * as needed) for that property, and click Search. The Asset Search page appears, showing all assets that contain that value for the selected property and that you have privileges to view. If you want to specify different asset properties as filters for the search, click Advanced Search to use additional search criteria. If you leave the search fields blank (not recommended) and click Search, the Asset Search page shows all assets to which you have privileges.
