The Usage application supports two types of rules: calculation rules and scheduled rules. You use this page to view and manage rules defined in the Usage application.
The tables, Calculation Rules and Scheduled Rules, show the following information for the related rule:
o Name - name that identifies this rule
o Description - optional description specified for this rule
o Condition - asset condition for which this rule applies, either an expression or some custom-defined condition (note that the underlined words and numbers are those parameters selected for this rule for the specific condition or comparison selected)
o Action - action the Axeda® Platform runs when this rule evaluates to True; either Send Notification, Set Asset Alarm, Set Asset Condition, Set Asset Event, or Custom
The following information is shown for the Calculation Rules table only, for the related rule:
o Event - name of event for which this rule applies; this field shows "On Calculation", plus the name of the usage item configured for this rule
The following information is shown for the Scheduled Rules table only, for the related rule:
o Usage Item
- name of the usage item configured for this schedule.
In a Platform with Delegated Administration enabled, the names of usage
items may have prefixes; for details, refer to Names
of Objects in DA Units.
o Schedule - the actual schedule created for the related usage item; for example, "Every F at 12:00 PM starting Feb 14, 2003 ending Feb 15, 2003"
