Assets with Alarms

see map of Service

The Assets with Alarms page shows all assets to which you have privileges and for which there are current alarms. The table shows the alarm with the highest severity for each asset with current alarms.

The table shows the following information for each asset:

o        Asset missing or not missing icon

o        Status - shows the current asset condition, represented by an image shown in the color defined in the Configuration application (see asset conditions defined in the Platform).

o        Name - name of the asset that generated the alarm.

o        Organization - name of the organization (owner) for this asset.

o        Date - date and time the highest priority, unacknowledged alarm was generated (either by the Platform or by an asset); the date and time are formatted according to your User Preferences settings.

o        Alarm Name - the highest priority, open alarms for this asset; if there are multiple alarms for an asset, the table shows only the highest severity, open alarms.

For alarms from Axeda® IDM Agents , the alarm name is "FaultGeneratedByAsset." To view the four components of the alarm, you need to display the Alarm Details window. To do this go to the Asset dashboard, and in the Alarms module, click the name of the alarm. If the alarm is not displayed in the module, click Current Alarms and when the Current Alarms page is displayed, click the name of the alarm.

o        State - the current state of the alarm. The possible states for a current alarm are:

§         Started -- the alarm has been received at the Platform.

§         Escalated -- a user has changed the state of the alarm to "escalated"; the meaning of "escalated" is up to the individual companies using the Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications.

§         Acknowledged -- a user has changed the state of the alarm to "acknowledged", which can mean that the user has seen the alarm and is working on it.

o        Type - type of alarm, such as HiHi or LoLo (for example, if the related data item reached a value range defined as HiHi).

o        Severity - a numeric value assigned to this asset alarm, as configured for this alarm condition; this value can range from 0 to 1000 and provides a means for filtering the alarm display and for triggering other functionality (for example, rules that trigger based on alarm severity values).

o        Last Contact - the date and time of the last data message sent from the asset.

o        Select an option from the Jump to list to see more information or actions for the asset. For example, click Available scripts to see a list of all scripts registered for this asset as well as the names of the script authors and descriptions of each script. The options in this list vary from asset to asset.

o        The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o        Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o        Use image\icon_refresh.gif (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
