View and manage gateways

1.       Click Filters to show the filter boxes.

2.       To view all gateways to which you have privileges, click Filter without typing any search values. To narrow your search, do the following.

a.       In the box above the Name column, type all or part of the name of the gateway(s) you want to find.

b.       In the box above the Model column, select the model to include in the search.

c.       In the box above the Gateway Location column, select the location to include in the search.

3.       Click Filter.

The Axeda Platform finds all gateways defined in the Platform that contain the search values defined and shows only those gateways in this table.

 

1.       With the filter boxes still displayed, click Advanced.

2.       To select the advanced search criteria, do the following:

a.       Type all or part of the Serial Number to include in the search. Use the "*" wildcard character (asterisk) to represent any part of the serial number that you do not type.

b.       From the list in the right column, select the Asset Group to include in the search. The names of all asset groups to which you have privileges appear in the list. Once you select a name, the name of the Parent Asset Group for the selected asset group appears in the left column. For example, if you select the name of a default model asset group, such as Model XYZ Default Group, the Parent Asset Group field shows the Default Model Group, which is the Parent Asset Group for all default model asset groups.

Note: It is possible for two asset groups of the same name to exist in two different asset group hierarchies in the Platform, so check the Parent Asset Group to ensure that you have the correct asset group.

c.       Type all or part of the Company to include in the search. Use the "*" wildcard character (asterisk) to represent any part of the company name that you do not type.

d.       Type all or part of the City to include in the search. Use the "*" wildcard character (asterisk) to represent any part of the city name that you do not type.

e.       Type all or part of the State to include in the search. Use the "*" wildcard character (asterisk) to represent any part of the state name that you do not type.

3.       Click Filter.

 

Click the gateway asset name shown in the table.

The Axeda Platform locates the information configured for the registered asset and shows the results in the Gateway wizard pages. You can add or change the information shown for the selected gateway asset.

 

Click the model for the gateway asset shown in the table.

The Axeda Platform  locates the Platform information defined for this model and shows the results in the Model wizard pages. You can add or change the information shown for the selected model.

 

1.       For the gateway asset you want to configure, under Actions select Configure.

2.       Configure the selected gateway asset for provisioning in the displayed Gateway Configuration page. This page shows all assets currently configured for management by this gateway, and contains tools for adding or removing assets, and changing gateway parameters for managed assets.

Note: When the Axeda Platform is running in redundant-gateways mode, you can configure parameters for each managing Gateway associated with an asset. In addition, you can add the same asset to multiple Gateways.

 

1.       Select the check box(es) for the gateway(s) you want to remove. To remove all gateways shown in this page (not the entire table), select the check box in the table heading.

2.       Click Remove Gateways. A message appears prompting you to confirm that you want to permanently remove these gateways.

3.       Click OK. The gateways are removed from the table and the Platform.
