Your watch list

The Watch list enables you to create a list of assets of interest to you. You can add and remove assets from your Watch list as needed. For example, if you want to track an asset that is currently in alarm, you can select to add that asset to your Watch list. When that asset goes out of alarm condition, you can remove it from your list.

You can filter your Watch list to show only assets in a specified condition, linked to a specific organization, or for which there are unacknowledged alarms.

o Status - shows the current asset condition, represented by an image shown in the color defined in the Configuration application. (You can see the defined asset conditions.)

If you do not see the assets you want to see in the table, you can add assets to your Watch list from the following pages of the Axeda Service application:

To add assets to your Watch list, navigate to one of these pages (from the View menu of the Service application, select the page). In the last column of the table on the page, select the assets to add, and click Add Checked to Watch List.

From this page, you can filter the list of assets shown; remove assets from your Watch list; view information and properties for an asset.

To filter the Watch list

1. Click Filters to show the filter boxes.

2. To view all assets to which you have privileges, click Clear and then, without typing any search values, click Filter.

3. To perform a simple search, specify one or more of the following search criteria:

a. In the box above the Status column, select the colored icon for the asset condition to include in the search.

b. In the box above the Name column, type all or part of the name of the asset(s) you want to find. (The Platform returns all names that contain the characters you specified.)

c. In the box above the Organization column, select the organization to include in the search.

d. In the box above the Location column, select the location of assets to include in the search.

4. Click Filter. The Platform finds all assets that contain the search value(s) defined and shows only those assets in this table.

5. To perform an Advanced search of the Platform , click Advanced, specify one or more of the following search criteria:

a. Select the Gateway model asset to include in the search.

b. Select whether to show assets with Unacknowledged alarms only. This option filters your Watch list to show assets that have at least one alarm that is in either the Started state or the Escalated state.

6. Click Filter. The Platform finds all assets that contain the search values defined and shows only those assets in this table.

To remove assets from the Watch list

1. For an asset shown in the table, select the check box after the Last Contact column.

To remove all assets from your Watch list, select the check box in the table header. This automatically selects all check boxes in that column. (You can unselect assets if you don't want to remove them all from the Watch list.) Skip to step 3.

2. Repeat step 1 for each asset you want to remove from your Watch list.

3. Click Remove Checked from Watch List.

To view asset information and properties

From the table, select the name of the asset. The Asset dashboard appears with information and properties for that asset.

Tips

o Select an option from the Jump to list to see more information or actions for the asset. If the asset is muted, you will be restricted to viewing only those pages that do not contain functionality that will result in communications to the muted asset. If the asset is unmuted, all pages to which you have privileges are available. For example, click Available scripts to see a list of all scripts registered for this asset as well as the names of the script authors and descriptions of each script. The options in this list vary from asset to asset.
