Viewing and managing asset conditions

The Asset Conditions page shows all asset conditions defined in the Axeda® Platform.

Note: When viewing asset conditions in a system with Delegated Administration enabled, the names of the asset conditions may have prefixes; for details, refer to Names of Objects in DA Units.

o Severity - number from 1 through 10 associated with the condition (with 1 representing the lowest severity and 10 the highest)

Use the tools on this page to view more information for an asset condition and edit it, and delete an asset condition. Click the title of a procedure to display it; click the title again to hide it:

To view more information for and edit an asset condition

Click the condition name shown in the table. The Axeda Platform locates the information for the asset condition and shows the results in the Edit the details of this asset condition wizard. Using the wizard, you can change the information shown. Note that if you change the information for alarms or data expressions associated with an asset condition, the Platform does not update the condition until after it receives a change in the alarms or data items from the asset.

To delete an asset condition

Note: The asset condition Good is the default condition; you cannot delete it.

1. Select the check box for each condition you want to delete. To delete all conditions shown in the page (not the entire table), click the check box in the column header.

2. Click Delete. A warning message appears, prompting you to confirm this deletion.

3. Click OK.

When you delete an asset condition, all assets with that condition are changed to the condition with the next highest severity for each asset. For example, if an asset has three conditions with severities 10, 9, and 8, and you delete the one with the highest severity (10), the condition with severity 9 is displayed in the Asset dashboard for the asset and in the Status column for the asset in the pages of the applications. Deleting a condition is equivalent to unsetting the condition.
