Current Data Item Values

The Data Items page shows the data items and current values for the asset. The table shows the following information:

o Name - of the data item (the table is shown in alphabetical order by name).

In a Platform with Delegated Administration enabled, the names of data items may have prefixes; for details, refer to Names of Objects in DA Units.

o Date of Receipt - when the Platform received the related data item values (date and time for the database record entry).

Note: If a data item that you expect to see does not appear here, in the Data module on the Asset dashboard, or in the Historical Data Item Values page, check that the data item has been selected in the UI Preferences for the model. If the data item does not appear for selection there, then check the Model - Data Items page of the Model wizard. It may be that the data item has its Visible attribute off (unchecked) and/or that it has the Storage option set to No History or Not Stored.

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can view data items that match selected criteria and view a chart of a particular data item's values. Click the title of a procedure to display it; click the title again to hide the procedure.

To filter the current data item values

1. Click Filters to show the filter boxes, if not already shown.

2. To view all data item values for the asset, click Filter without typing any search values. To narrow your search, do the following:

a. In the box above the Name column, type all or part of the name of the data item(s) to include in the search.

b. In the box above the Type column, select the type of data items to include in the search (analog, digital, or string).

3. Click Filter.

The Platform finds all defined data item values that contain the selected search value(s).

To view a chart of a specific data item

For a specific data item, under Actions click Chart. (This Chart link appears only if you have privileges to view charts.)

A History chart of this data item's values, from 12 hours ago until the timeframe selected in the data and time filters. In the History chart, you can change the timeframe of the historical data or view a different type or chart.

Tips

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)

o Select an option from the Jump to list to see more information or actions for the asset. For example, click Available scripts to see a list of all scripts registered for this asset as well as the names of the script authors and descriptions of each script. The options in this list vary from asset to asset.
