While the Current Data Items page shows the data items and current values for the asset, the Historical Data Item Values page shows no data until you select the historical data you want to view. The table shows the following information:
o Name - of the data item (the table is shown in
alphabetical order by name).
In a Platform with Delegated Administration
enabled, the names of data items may have prefixes; for details, refer
to Names of Objects in DA Units.
o Value - of the data item at the specified time.
o Date of Receipt - when the Platform received the related data item values (date and time for the Platform record entry).
Notes: If a data item that you expect to see does not appear here, in the Data module on the Asset dashboard, or in the Current Data Item Values page, check that the data item has been selected in the UI Preferences for the model. If the data item does not appear for selection there, then check the Model - Data Items page of the Model wizard. It may be that the data item has its Visible attribute off (unchecked) and/or that it has the Storage option set to No History or Not Stored.
From this page, you can filter asset events to show only data items that meet selected search criteria; view a chart of a data item for this asset at a particular time; and view a chart of a particular data item's values.
1. Click Filters to show the filter boxes, if not shown.
2. To view all data items for the asset, click Filter without typing any search values.
3. To perform an Advanced search of the Platform, click Advanced, do one or more of the following, and then click Filter:
§ Specify a Start Date and Time - (optional) type or use the calendar tool () and select the start date for the search criteria, then type a time for the date shown. If you do not specify a time, a start time of 12:00 am (or 24:00:00) is applied to the start date. If you do not specify a date, the current date is used.
§ Specify an End Date and Time - (optional) type or use the calendar tool () and select the end date for the search criteria, then type a time for the date shown. If you do not specify a time, an end time of 11:59:59 pm (or 23:59:59) is applied to the end date. If you do not specify a date, the current date is used.
Note: If dates are not defined, the Platform will retrieve all data stored for the selected data items.
§ Select the data items (one or more) for which you want to view historical values. You must select at least one data item.
§ Optionally, specify an operator that restricts the data item values that will be included in the selection criteria. This is optional; if you do not specify an operator, all data item values logged within the specified date range will be included. To specify a condition, do the following:
a. Select
a condition operator for the expression; these include:
= |
data item is equal to the specified value |
!= |
data item is not equal to the specified value |
<= |
data item is less than or equal to the specified value |
>= |
data item is greater than or equal to the specified value |
> |
data item is greater than the specified value |
< |
data item is less than the specified value |
contains |
data item string contains specified value |
b. Type a value for the condition comparison.
For example, if you select "<" (less than) and type 80, the
data item values found in the search will be all values less than 80 for
the selected data items.
The Platform finds all asset data item values that contain the search value(s) defined, and shows only those values in this table.
For a specific data item, under Actions click Chart.
You can view a history chart of this data item's values, from 12 hours ago until the timeframe specified in the search criteria.
o When typing times and dates, apply the format identified per your User Preferences.
o Use the navigation path to return to a previous page.
o Select an option from the Jump to list to see more information or actions for the asset. For example, click Available scripts to see a list of all scripts registered for this asset as well as the names of the script authors and descriptions of each script. The options in this list vary from asset to asset.
o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table. Use (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Do NOT use your browser's Refresh tools.)
