UI Preferences

The UI Preferences page for a model provides tools for customizing the appearance of the Asset dashboard (Axeda® Service application) for the model you selected in the View and manage models page. A summary of the current settings appears below each tool link.

The Model Information module shows the model number, type, and manufacturer. It also provides a link to the utility for uploading a picture of the model.

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can upload an image to associate with assets of this model type; customize the appearance of the Asset dashboard for the selected model, and you can select which tasks, data items, charts, and displays to show for this model. Click the title of a procedure to display it; click the title again to hide it:

1. In the Model Information box, click Upload model image.

2. In the pop-up dialog box, click Browse to locate the image file. Remember that it must be a GIF or JPEG file. Alternatively, you can type the path to the image file.

3. In the Choose file dialog box, navigate to the directory for the file and then double-click its name.

4. Back in the pop-up dialog box, click Submit.

When the UI Preferences page returns, the image appears in the Model Information box. The image will also appear in the Asset dashboard for all assets of this model.

In the Model Information box, click Upload model image.
In the pop-up dialog box, click Browse to locate the image file. Remember that it must be a GIF or JPEG file. Alternatively, you can type the path to the image file.
In the Choose file dialog box, navigate to the directory for the file and then double-click its name.
Back in the pop-up dialog box, click Submit.

When the UI Preferences page returns, the image appears in the Model Information box. The image will also appear in the Asset dashboard for all assets of this model.

1. Click Asset Dashboard Layout or the icon to the left of that link.

2. Use the Specify Asset Dashboard Layout for model page to select which modules to show in the Asset dashboard.

1. Click Tasks or the icon to the left of that link.

2. Use the Tasks page to select which tasks to show in the Tasks module for this model.

1. Click Data Items or the icon to the left of that link.

2. Use the Select Data Items for model page to select which data items to show in the Data module for this model.

1. Click Charts or the icon to the left of that link.

2. Use the Select Charts for model page to select which charts to show in the Charts module for this model.

1. Click Displays or the icon to the left of that link.

2. Use the Select Displays for model page to select which displays to show in the Displays module for this model.
