Timers

1.       Below the table, click New Timer.

The timer wizard appears. You create the timer information in this wizard, which prompts for the information required for the timer.

2.       Create the timer in the Timer wizard pages, as prompted.

When the timer is saved, it appears in the table with a status of "Waiting to register". When the asset next contacts the server, it gets this action and registers the timer on the asset: at this point the status is updated to show .

3.       Continue to the next procedure to add scripts to the timer.

 

1.       In the Actions column, select Modify Scripts.

2.       In the displayed page, select the scripts to assign for this timer and remove scripts from the timer if necessary.

The Timers table shows the scripts assigned to the related timer.

When the timer script assignments are saved, the name of the scripts and appear in the Scripts column of the Timers table. When the asset next contacts the server, it registers the timer with the defined script(s): at that point, the is removed, indicating the timer is set to run the assigned script(s).

 

1.       In the Actions column, select Send to other assets.

2.       Follow the steps in the Choose assets for timer wizard to select the assets to which you want to send this timer and select the assets from which you want to remove from the timer, if necessary.

When you save the timer asset registration settings in the wizard, the Timers table for each affected asset will show only timers registered on that asset.

 

 

1.       In the Actions column, select Disable.

2.       The timer status will change to Waiting to disable.

When the asset next contacts the Platform, it gets the action and disables the timer and status will change to Disabled the next time the page is refreshed.

 

 

You can select to delete timers from the asset. The timer will be deleted on the asset (at the registered path).

1.       In the Timers table, select the check box(es) for the timer(s) you want to delete. To delete all timers shown in this page (not necessarily the entire table), select the check box in the table heading.

2.       Click Delete Selected Timers. A message appears prompting you to confirm the deletion.

3.       Click OK to continue the deletion.

The status changes to "Waiting to unregister". When the asset next contacts the server, it receives this update and the Agents unregistered the selected timers on the asset.
