Use the pages in this wizard to create dynamic timers or edit existing ones.
The wizard information for a timer is presented as follows:
o Timer Definition - specify name, type, and how frequently this timer can execute.
o Create the (selected type) timer - for the related type, specify the timer parameters that define the frequency and schedule for this timer.
§ Timer Confirmation - for the configuration properties specified for the timer, save the timer to the Platform, or change the properties before saving, or cancel the timer configuration altogether.
Warning! When moving backward and forward through the wizard, use the wizard's Back and Next buttons. Do NOT use your browser's back and forward tools.
1. Type a name for this timer. This name must be unique to this asset.
2. Select the type of timer to create, as follows (The type of timer you select determines the type of information for which you are prompted in this wizard):
§ Relative - runs based on an interval relative to the last time it ran. For example, a relative timer can run every 5 days and 3 hours.
§ Hourly - runs every hour at a specified minute and second time. For example, an absolute hourly timer can run every hour at 10 minutes and 30 seconds after the hour (7:10:30, 8:10:30, 9:10:30, and so on).
§ Daily - runs every day (or only every weekday), at an absolute time, such as every day at 8:00 am.
§ Weekly - runs every week at a specified minute and second time. For example, an absolute weekly timer can run one or more days a week at a specific time.
§ Monthly - runs every month at a specified day and at a specified time.
§ Yearly - runs every year in a specified month and day and at a specified time.
3. If you want this timer to execute only once per day (12:00 am until 11:59 pm), select Execute once. By default, this option is not selected and the timer could execute more than once per day.
4. Click
