Note: The Models for rule page does not appear for all types of rules. Move to the next Help page using the [>>] button if this page is not shown for the type of rule you are configuring.
In this page, you can select models to which this rule applies, or remove models from that list. The default asset group(s) for any models you select are added automatically to the scope of this rule; this means, an asset that is not of the selected model can be included in this rule if the asset is defined in a default asset group for that model.
Notes: If, while editing a rule, you modify the model(s) selected for that rule, the rule may lose its association with any previously configured actions. If this is the case, you will need to recreate those action-rule associations. Also, for data expression rules, the expression may be made invalid and require re-entry. A message will warn you of these situations if applicable.
The tables show the following information for each model:
o Name - of the model
o Description - of the model, if specified
o Type - either Managed, Gateway, or Standalone
Note: If you need to update the Available and Selected lists with current server information, click (Refresh link) next to the table controls (do NOT use your browser's Refresh tool).
1. In the table of Available Models, select the check box of the model(s) to which this rule applies. To select all models in the table, select the check box in the column heading.
2. Click Add Checked. (To select all models to which you have privileges, click Add All.)
1. In the table of Selected Models, select the check box of the model(s) to which this rule does not apply. To select all models in the table, select the check box in the column heading.
2. Click Remove Checked. (To remove all models shown, click Remove All.)
When you are finished, click Next to configure or view the model, asset group, and asset (Scope) assignments for this rule or click Finish if you are done modifying the rule. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed and a list of rules appears.
o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).
o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.
o Use (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
