Rule wizard - Scope for rule page

Note: The Scope for rule page does not appear for all types of rules. Move to the next Help page using the [>>] button if this page is not shown for the type of rule you are configuring.

In this page, you can review and change the list of model(s), asset group(s), and asset(s) to which this rule applies, based on the model(s) you selected. By default all assets and asset groups specified by the selected models are shown: you can remove selected ones or add additional ones.

How to change list of models selected for this rule

Click Models. Use the Models for rule page to change the list of models selected for this rule.

Note: If, while you are editing a rule, someone else modifies the model(s) selected for that rule, the rule may lose its association with any previously configured actions. If this situation arises, you will need to recreate those action-rule associations. Also, for data expression rules, the expression may be made invalid and require re-entry. A message will warn you of these situations, if applicable.

How to change list of asset groups selected for this rule

Click Asset Groups. Use the Asset groups for rule page to change the list of asset groups selected for this rule.

Note: All default asset groups for the selected model(s) are associated with this rule automatically. Follow this procedure to remove those default asset groups, which were assigned automatically, or to change other asset group assignments.

How to change list of assets selected for this rule

Click Assets. Use the Assets for rule page to change the list of assets selected for this rule.

When you are finished, click Next to specify the condition to evaluate for this rule, or click Finish if you are done modifying the rule. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed and a list of rules appears.
