View Partners

The View Partners page shows all partners configured in the Platform, and to which you have privileges. The table shows the following information for the defined partners:

o Status - identifies if this partner is currently enabled (able to log in to the Axeda® Platform) or disabled (prevented from logging into the Axeda® Platform)

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can perform a variety of tasks on existing partners. Click the title of a procedure to display it; click the title again to hide the procedure:

To view or edit information for a partner

1. Select the name of the partner in the table. The Edit Partner Information wizard appears.

2. View or modify the partner information. Note that you cannot modify partner or group names of an existing partner.

To disable or enable a partner

For a specific partner, under Actions click Disable for a currently enabled partner, or click Enable for a currently disabled partner.

Disabled partners cannot be selected for new partner sessions and contacts of disabled partners cannot log in to the Applications with the login code for a session. Cases cannot be assigned to disabled partners.

To view contacts for a partner

For a specific partner, under Actions click Contacts.

The View Partner Contacts page appears, showing all contacts currently defined for the selected partner. From this page, you can select to create contacts and remove contacts for a partner.

To view and clone sessions for a partner

For a specific partner, under Actions click Sessions.

The View Partner Login Sessions page appears, showing session information for the selected partner. From this page, you can you can view session information based on filter selections, open new session, close sessions; view details for sessions; and re-open (clone) sessions.

To add and remove asset groups for a partner

For a specific partner, under Actions click Asset Groups.

The Add and Remove asset groups page appears, showing all asset groups assigned to the related partner and those available to be assigned. From this page, you can modify the asset group assignments for the partner.

To add a new partner

1. Select Add Partner, located below the table. The Create or Edit Partner Wizard appears.

2. Type or select the information for the new partner, as prompted in the wizard.

Note: To create a partner, you must be logged in as a user with the appropriate privileges. The Axeda® Platform presents authentication credentials on your behalf to the partner directory service. If a Platform administrator configured authenticated credentials for the directory service in the Partner User Store Details (Administration application), then the Platform provides those credentials to the directory service. To delete a partner

Notes: To delete a partner, you must be logged in as a user with the appropriate privileges. The Platform presents authentication credentials on your behalf to the partner directory service. If a Platform administrator configured authenticated credentials for the directory service in the Partner User Store Details (Administration application), then the Platform provides those credentials to the directory service. Need more information?

In addition the Platform must be configured to permit authenticated users to remove partners from the directory service. If necessary, contact your Platform administrator for help.

For a specific partner, under Actions click Delete.

Tips

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
