View Partner Login Sessions

Use the tools in this page to view partner login sessions. When a login session is opened for a partner, this page shows that login session. Login sessions shown in this page may be actively connected (a contact is actively connected to the login session), open and not yet connected, or completed (the session is expired, whether or not a contact connected to that login session). You can use the filtering tools to see only selected login sessions. For example, you can specify a date range to view only login sessions that started and ended in the range.

o Login Session Code - Platform-generated login code for this partner login session

o Partner Name - name of the partner who created the session; if this page is shown from the View Partners page for a particular partner, then that partner name is shown in this column

o Application - default Application for this partner login session; this is the application displayed when the contact accessed the login session.

o Start and End Times - start and end dates and times for the partner login session. If there is no end date, then the partner login session is still active.

Note: The start time indicates the time and date when the login session was created; this is NOT the time when a contact accessed the login session. Note that this is the local server time.

o Minutes - Identifies how long the login session lasted as the number of minutes from contact login to logout.

o One Time - Shows true if this login session was created for a one time login only or <blank> if the login session can be used multiple times (that is, not a one time login session).

o Status - Identifies the current status of the login session, which may be one of the following: Finished (login session is closed); In Progress (login session was created and is either connected or not connected yet); Locked (a partner is currently logged in with a one time session and has not yet finished. Nobody else can log in using that session; that is, the session is "locked" from future logins.)

From this page, you can perform a variety of tasks on partner login sessions. To learn how, click the title of the procedure to display it; click the title again to hide the procedure.

To filter and view login session information

1. Under Filter Login Sessions, type or select the information that specifies the records that you want to view in the login session history, as follows:

Login Session Code - Type the login session code generated by Axeda® Platform for this login session.

Partner Name - Select the name of the partner for which you want to view login session information. Leave blank to select all partners.

If this page is shown from the View Partner Login Sessions page for a particular partner, then that partner is the default value used and this Partner field is not shown for filtering.

Date Range Start - Select or type the starting date for the records to search for partner login sessions. Use the calendar tool ( $image\calendar_icon.gif$ ) to select the date.

Date Range End - Select or type the ending date for the records to search for partner login sessions. Use the calendar tool ( $image\calendar_icon.gif$ ) to select the date.

2. Click Filter. The Session History table updates to show only those login sessions corresponding to the defined filters.

To open a new login session

Select Open New Login, located below the table.

The Create Partner Login Session wizard appears. Specify the information as prompted in this wizard to open a new partner login session.

To close a login session

Note: You can only close login sessions that have a status of "in Progress".

In the table, under the Actions column, click Close for the login session you want to close. This action is available for "In Progress" login sessions only. A warning message appears, prompting you to confirm that you want to close this login session.
Click OK.

To view details for a Partner Login session

Note: Details are available only for those login sessions to which a contact is connected. If a login session was created and not connected, there are no details available.

In the table, under the Actions column, click Details for the login session you want to view. The View Partner Login Sessions Details page opens with a log of login session activity.

To re-open a login session

Note: You can only re-open or "clone" login sessions that are closed (status "Finished")

1. In the table, under the Actions column, click Clone for the login session you want to re-open. A warning message appears, prompting you to confirm that you want to clone this login session from the Platform.

2. Click OK.

Tips

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
