Use this page to save the administrator credentials for the partner directory service.
When the partner store authentication credentials are provided here, a case owner can create a contact for a partner without first providing partner store authentication credentials. The Platform will apply the credentials provided here so that any non-administrator user can create partners or partner contacts, which are stored in the partner directory service.
If partner authentication credentials are not provided here, the user will be prompted to enter the partner store authentication credentials before he or she can create a partner contact.
From this page you can save directory service authentication credentials for the partner server.
Note: When you open this page, any previously defined account credentials are not shown.
1. Type the user name of the administrative account for the selected directory service. This name must exist already in the user store. This value is required and is case-sensitive.
2. Type the password for the specified account. This value is required and is case-sensitive.
3. Select Submit to save the administrator credentials to the database. If you do not want to save the values entered, select Cancel.
Any previously defined administrator for the related directory service is overwritten with the account information you enter here.
Now, when a non-administrator attempts to create a partner contact (in the Administration application or in the Case application, when working on a case), the Platform will authenticate against the directory service using the credentials defined here.
If the server shows errors, make sure the credentials provided belong to the administrator defined for the related directory service. You will need to re-enter the credentials in this page.
