Data Export Query

Shows all criteria specified for this data item export. Each time you use the Selection Criteria wizard to specify the data you want to export, the table shows the criteria as a new row. You can create multiple selection criteria, resulting in multiple table rows, each of which will be considered separately when evaluating for the data export (that is, the rows are evaluated in an "OR" relationship, not "AND"). You can access this page from the Axeda® Service application, Data Export menu - New Query.

From this page, you can create data item export selection criteria, run an existing data export query; save a query; remove selection criteria from a query.

How to create a data item export criteria

1. Click Add Criteria.

2. In the displayed Selection Criteria wizard, select the criteria that define which data item values to export. All selection criteria you select in the wizard will define a single export criterion, based on a single model.

3. Repeat step 2 until you have created all the criteria for this data item export. You can select data for different models each time through the wizard, if desired. All selection criteria appear as separate rows in the Data Export table. When a query is run, all criteria will be evaluated individually and the data items exported as applicable for each individual criteria row.

How to save a data item export criteria

1. Click Save Query. A popup form appears.

2. Type a name for this query. This name must be unique in the database and is required.

3. Type a description of the query.

4. If you want other users to be able to view and run this query, select to share the query.

5. Click Save. The query is now accessible from the Saved Queries page. In addition, the name you defined for the query appears in the current page title.

How to delete data item export criteria

1. To remove a single criterion (row of defined selection criteria), select the check box and click Remove Checked.

2. To remove all criteria (all rows of defined selection criteria), click Remove All.

How to run a query

1. For the selection criteria shown, click Export Data.

2. In the displayed File Download message, select to download the file or open the file without saving to your computer first.

3. If you select to save the file, browse to the location on your local computer for saving the file and click Save. The file will be saved in Comma Separated Values file format (export.csv). You can rename when saving the file.

Tips

o Select an option from the Jump to list to see more information or actions for the asset. For example, click Available scripts to see a list of all scripts registered for this asset as well as the names of the script authors and descriptions of each script. The options in this list vary from asset to asset.

o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table. Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest database results. (Do NOT use your browser's Refresh tools.)

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table).
