Add and remove data item groups for user group

Use the tools in this page to assign data item groups to the user group. The users defined in the selected user group will have access to the data items defined in the data item group.

Note: Once you assign specific user groups to a data item group, only the users in those user groups can access (for example, see, write to, report on, and so on) the data items in that data item group.

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can add data item groups to the user group or remove data item groups from the user group.

To add data item groups to this user group

1.       Under Data Item Groups, select the data item group(s) you want to add to this user group. To add all data item groups shown in the current page of the table to this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2.       Click Add. The selected data item groups appear in the Data Item Groups in User Groups list.

3.       When finished, click Save Changes. The View and remove user groups page appears showing all user groups defined in the Axeda® Platform.

To remove data item groups from this user group

1.       Under Data Item Groups in User Groups, select the data item group(s) that you want to remove. To remove all data item groups shown in the current page of the table from this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2.       Click Remove.

3.       When finished, click Save Changes. The View and remove user groups page appears showing all user groups defined in the Axeda Platform.

 

Tips

o        The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o        Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o        Use image\icon_refresh.gif (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
