Choose Rule Asset Groups: <rule name>

Shows the asset groups to which this rule is applied (Included Asset Groups) and those asset groups excluded from this rule (Excluded Asset Groups). Keep in mind that the Excluded list is the list that determines to which asset groups the rule is applied. If you select an asset group to be included but do not exclude any assets or asset groups, all assets are included.

Note: The list of Available Asset Groups includes only those asset groups to which you have privileges.

1.       Include asset groups in this rule, if necessary.

a.       From the Available Asset Groups list, select the asset groups to which this rule applies. When you select an Asset Group, the fully qualified path name of that group's Parent Asset Group appears below the list. Check the path to ensure that you have the desired asset group.

b.       Click image\usagerulew_add.gif beside the Included Asset Groups list.

2.       Exclude asset groups from this rule, if necessary.

a.       From the Available Asset Groups list, select the asset groups to which this rule will not apply. When you select an Asset Group, the fully qualified path name of that group's Parent Asset Group appears below the list. Check the path to ensure that you have the desired asset group.

b.       Click image\usagerulew_add.gif beside the Excluded Asset Groups list.

3.       Remove included asset groups from this rule, if necessary.

a.       From the Included Asset Groups list, select the asset groups to which this rule will not apply. When you select an Asset Group, the fully qualified path name of that group's Parent Asset Group appears below the list. Check the path to ensure that you have the desired asset group.

b.       Click image\usagerulew_remove.gif beside the Included Asset Groups list.

4.       Remove asset groups excluded from this rule, if necessary.

a.       From the Excluded Asset Groups list, select the asset groups that are not excluded from this rule. When you select an Asset Group, the fully qualified path name of that group's Parent Asset Group appears below the list. Check the path to ensure that you have the desired asset group.

b.       Click image\usagerulew_remove.gif beside the Excluded Asset Groups list.

Note: If you want to now include these asset groups in the rule, you need to add the from the Available Asset Groups list to the Included Asset Groups list.

5.       Click Next to move to Choose Rule Assets step.
