Names of Objects in DA Units

When Delegated Administration is enabled, the names of objects contain prefixes when viewed by a Principal User or a non-admin user with the appropriate privileges who belongs to the "primary" system" (the "Root" DA Unit). The prefixes consist of the name of the DA Unit in which the object was created and two colons. For example, a Principal User logs in to a system with two sibling DA Units, called DA1 and DA2. In the View and manage expression rules page, this user might see the following rule names:

o        DA1::StartAlarm

o        DA2::CheckTemp

o        ShutOffFan

The first two rules were created by two different users, one belonging to DA1 and the other to DA2. The third rule was created by a user belonging to the "primary" system (Root DA Unit). A Principal User or non-admin user with appropriate privileges would see all three rules as shown here (with the DA Unit names pre-pended). A user logging in as a DA1 admin or non-admin with appropriate privileges would see only the rule, StartAlarm, WITHOUT the prefix. Similarly, a user logging in as a DA2 admin or non-admin with appropriate privileges would see only the rule, CheckTemp, without a prefix. Neither of the DA users would see the rule, ShutOffFan.
