Shows the comparison to evaluate for this rule. In this step, you need
to select and configure the condition evaluated for this expression. When
this condition evaluates to true, the related event is executed.
Always -
there is no comparison or evaluation; the related event always executes.
(This condition
is available for scheduled rules only.)
Compare
to constant- compares the selected usage value of the
selected type (Incremental or Cumulative), to a constant value you
define, using your comparison.
For example, "The latest Cumulative usage value is greater than
10" compares the latest total value for the related usage item
to the value 10 - if the value is greater than 10, the expression
is true.
Compare
to mean -
compares the latest incremental usage value to a percentage of the
mean value calculated for the current asset within a user-defined
time range.
For example, if you type a relative start date of now
- 5d, an end date of now,
and a percentage of 10, the expression will evaluate to true if the
latest incremental value of the related usage item differed from the
mean by at least 10% at anytime during the previous 5 days.
Compare
to mean (by standard deviation) - compares the current value to the mean
calculated by standard deviation for the related asset.
For example, "The latest incremental usage value is not within
5 standard deviations of
the mean value for the current asset (based on historical data from
yesterday @ 8:30 - 2w to
yesterday @ 8:30)."
This expression calculates to true if the latest incremental usage
value for the usage item was more than 5 standard deviations from
the mean value calculated for the asset during a two-week period that
ended yesterday at 8:30 am.
Compare
to other value -
compares the current value to some other value. "The latest {incremental/cumulative} usage
value is {operator} the value
of {constant-value}."
For example, assume you select an incremental
usage value that is less than
that of XYZ. This expression
evaluates to true if the latest incremental value for the related
usage item is less than the latest incremental value for another usage
item, XYZ.
Compare
to past value -
compares the difference between the latest value for this usage item
to the last value logged for the item, within a defined time frame
to a user-defined constant.
For example, if you select incremental, a start date of yesterday at
12:00 pm and a constant value of 10, the expression evaluates to true
if the values logged for the usage item varied from the latest value
by at least the 10 between yesterday at 12:00 pm and now.
Compare
to previous value - compares the current value of the selected
usage item to the previous value against a user-defined constant.
For example, if you select cumulative and not equal to, the expression
evaluates to true if the latest value for the usage item differs from
its last value.
Value
within range -
determines whether or not the current value of the selected usage
item is within a user-defined range.
For example, if you select incremental and specify a range of 80 to
90, the expression evaluates to true if the latest incremental value
for the usage item value falls between 80 and 90.
Value
not within range -
determines whether or not the current value of the selected usage
item is within a user-defined range.
For example, if you select incremental and specify a range of 80 to
90, the expression evaluates to true if the latest incremental value
for the usage item is come value falls below the value of 90 or above
the value of 90.
