In this page, you can select asset groups to which this rule applies, or remove asset groups from this rule. The Available asset groups and Selected asset groups tables show the following information for each asset group listed:
o Name -- the name assigned to the asset group in the database.
o Parent Asset Group -- the fully qualified path name for the Parent Asset Group of the related asset group. For example, if the asset group is the default model asset group, ModelXYZ Default Group, then the Parent Asset Group field shows this path: /Root Asset Group/Default Model Group.
o Description -- text a user entered to explain the purpose of the asset group.
o Model -- for default model asset groups only, the model for which the asset group was created.
Notes: The Asset groups
for rule page does not appear for all types of rules. Move to the next
Help page using the [>>] button if this page is not shown for the
type of rule you are configuring.
The list of Available Asset Groups displays only the asset groups to which
you have privileges. If you need to update the Available and Selected
lists with current server information, click (Refresh link) next to the table
controls (do NOT use your browser's Refresh tool).
1. In the table of Available asset groups, select the check box of the asset group(s) to which this rule applies. To select all asset groups in the table, select the check box in the column heading.
2. Click Add Checked. (To select all asset groups to which you have privileges, click Add All.)
1. In the table of Selected asset groups, select the check box of the asset group(s) to which this rule does not apply. To select all asset groups in the table, select the check box in the column heading.
2. Click Remove Checked. (To remove all asset groups shown, click Remove All.)
When you are finished, click Next to return to the Scope for rule page, or click Finish if you are done modifying the rule. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed and the list of rules appears.
o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).
o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.
o Use (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
