Action wizard - Configure set usage item action

Set usage item value actions (Category: Enterprise actions) enable the Axeda® Platform to write values to usage items defined in the Platform. When the rule associated with this action type evaluates to true, this value is written to the related usage item.

Note: This action applies to the usage item wherever it is defined in the Platform.

From this page, you can create and configure set usage item actions.

To configure Set Usage Item actions

1.       Select the usage item whose value will be set by this action. If you do not see the usage item you want, you may need to create it first in the Usage application, Create usage item page.

2.       Type the value you want the Platform to write to the usage item. The format for this value should match that specified for the usage item selected for this action.

3.       When you are finished, click Next to select the user groups with edit permissions for this action. If you click Finish, the action confirmation page appears. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.

Tips

o        In the Axeda® Service application, Asset dashboard Rules module, you can view and enable or disable the rules configured for a specific asset.

o        The Service application, Asset dashboard Audit log module, shows a log of activity for the selected asset, including registration, actions run, alarms acknowledged, statuses, usage value setting, and more. Also, if you have privileges to the Administration application, you can search the Audit log for asset, Platform, and user activity.
