When you want to be able to view alarms, events, mobile locations, and uploaded files reported by source assets in the Asset dashboards of target assets, follow these main steps:
1. Make a list of the source assets and their target assets. You can view asset associations for an asset on the Asset Associations Details page, by clicking the View All link in the Asset Associations module on the source asset's dashboard.
2. Click the Configuration tab to display the View and manage assets page.
3. In the View and manage assets page, locate a source asset, and in the Asset Associations column, click the Manage link.
4. In the Configure Asset Associations page, map this source asset to the target asset.
5. If you want to be able to view the alarms, events, and mobile locations in both the source and target Asset dashboards, map the source asset to itself (see Asset, Model, and Self Associations). (Uploaded files always appear in both dashboards.)
6. Save the association.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each source asset.
