Add and remove organizations for user group

Use to modify the list of organizations assigned to this user group. If asset security is enabled for the Organizations module, then only assets of assigned organizations will be available to the users.

Note: As organizations are removed from user group association, so are the locations for those organizations. This is important if assets are available to a user group based on associated locations. In this case, assets for the removed locations (due to removed organizations) no longer may be available to the user group.

Procedures from this page

You can add or remove organization(s) for this user group. To display the procedure, click the title; to hide the procedure, click the title again.

To add organizations to the associated user group

Do one of the following:

1. From the Unassigned Organizations table, select the organizations to add to this user group. To add all organizations in the current page of the table to this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Add Checked. Selected organizations appear in the Organizations for User Group table.

OR

To add all organizations defined in available for assignment, click Add All.

To remove organizations from the associated user group

Do one of the following:

1. From the Organizations for User Group table, select the organizations to remove from this user group. To remove all organizations in the current page of the table from this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Remove Checked. Removed organizations appear in the Unassigned Organizations table.

OR

To remove all organizations currently assigned to this user group, click Remove All.

When you are finished adding or removing organizations for this user group, click Save Changes below the tables.

Tip

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
