Add and remove Locations for user group

Use to modify the list of locations assigned to this user group. If asset security is enabled for the Locations module, then only assets of assigned locations will be available to the users. Locations shown for assignment are those made available through the assigned organizations.

Notes: As organizations are removed from user group association, so are the locations for those organizations. This is important if assets are available to a user group based on associated locations. In this case, assets for the removed locations (due to removed organizations) no longer may be available to the user group.

Only users with access to organizations can define locations for those organizations. If a user does not have access to an organization, the Locations module will not show any locations for assignment. The information shown in the Locations module is based on the selected organizations; this module dependency is true only for the Locations module.

To add locations to the associated user group

Do one of the following:

1. From the Unassigned Locations table, select the locations to add to this user group. To add all locations in the current page of the table to this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Add Checked. Selected locations appear in the Locations for User Group table.

OR

To add all locations from this table to the user group for assignment, click Add All.

To remove locations from the associated user group

1. From the Locations for User Group table, select the locations to remove from this user group. To remove all locations in the current page of the table from this user group, select the check box in the table header.

2. Click Remove Checked. Removed locations appear in the Unassigned Locations table.

OR

To remove all locations currently assigned to this user group, click Remove All.

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
