In this page, you can identify which assets comprise this system, and you can remove assets from that list. At the top of this page are Simple and Advanced search forms that allow you to filter the table of Unassigned assets. Keep in mind that you can see only those assets to which you have privileges.
Note: If you need to update the Available and Selected lists with current Platform information, click (Refreshlink) next to the table controls (do NOT use your browser's Refresh tool).
If no filters appear, click Filters to display the Simple filters. Then, enter the Simple criteria that you want to use to filter the Unassigned assets table:
o Name - Type all or part of the asset name in this text box above the Name column. Use the "*" (asterisk) wildcard character to represent any part of the name that you do not type.
o Model - From this list of models to which you have privileges, select the model you want to use for filtering the table.
o Region - From this list of regions defined in the Platform and to which you have privileges, select the region to use for filtering the table.
o Location - From this list of locations defined in the Platform and to which you have privileges, select the location to use for filtering the table.
If the Advanced filters are not currently displayed and you want to use them, click Advanced. Then, enter the criteria that you want to use to filter the Unassigned assets table:
o Serial Number - Type all or part of the serial number for the asset(s) in this text box. Use the "*" wildcard character to represent any part of the serial number that you do not type.
o Asset Group - From this list in the left column, select the name of the asset group to use for filtering the list. The names of all asset groups to which you have privileges appear in the list. Once you select a name, the name of the Parent Asset Group for the selected asset group appears in the left column. For example, if you select the name of a default model asset group, such as Model XYZ Default Group, the Parent Asset Group field shows the Default Model Group, which is the Parent Asset Group for all default model asset groups.
Note: It is possible for two asset groups of the same name to exist in two different asset group hierarchies in the Platform, so check the Parent Asset Group to ensure that you have the correct asset group.
o System - From this list of systems currently defined in the Platform and to which you have privileges, select the system to use for filtering the table.
o Gateway Only - If you want to see only assets configured as Gateways in the Platform, select this check box. The Unassigned assets list will show only those Gateways to which you have privileges.
o Company - Type all or part of the name of the company defined for the asset(s) you want to find in this text field. Use the "*" wildcard character to represent any part of the company name that you do not type.
o City - Type all or part of the name of the city associated with the asset(s) you want to find in this text field. Use the "*" wildcard character to represent any part of the city name that you do not type.
o State - Type all or part of the name of the state associated with the asset(s) you want to find in this text field. Use the "*" wildcard character to represent any part of the state name that you do not type.
After selecting the criteria, click Filter. When it refreshes, the Unassigned assets table shows the assets whose data matches the filter criteria and of these, only the assets to which you have privileges.
If you want to remove your criteria selections and start over, click Clear.
