Rule wizard - Scheduled rule - Configure scheduled rule

Use this page to create the schedule by which this Custom rule is evaluated.

From the Schedule Type box, select the type of schedule for this rule, as follows:

o        Interval - This rule is evaluated every x minutes, where x is the interval you specify. See the Interval-based rule procedure.

o        Weekly - This rule is evaluated only when the defined schedule(s) are reached/true. You can create multiple schedules for each schedule rule. For example, you can configure schedules for each Monday at 10:00 am and each Friday at 5:00 pm (the time and date format are based on the schedule settings you configure for this daily schedule). See the Schedules-based rule procedure.

Note: Changing from a schedule-based rule (with configured schedules) to an interval-based rule causes the Axeda® Platform to remove all schedules already configured for this rule.

Interval-based rule procedure

1.       Type the interval value.

2.       Select the interval type.

For example, select 30 and select Seconds to create an interval-based schedule rule that causes the Platform to evaluate the defined custom class every 30 seconds.

For an Interval-based schedule rule, configuration is complete.

Schedules-based rule procedure

1.       Select the day of the week when the rule is to be evaluated.

2.       Type the time when the rule is to be evaluated. This time format must match that defined in your user preferences.

For example, select Monday and select 8:00 AM to create a weekly schedule-based schedule rule that causes the Platform to evaluate the defined custom class every Monday at 8:00 AM.

3.       Click Add Weekly Schedule.

4.       Repeat steps 1 through 3 to create additional weekly schedules.

When you are finished, click Next to configure the actions for the rule, or click Finish if you are done modifying the rule. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed and a list of rules appears.

Tip

In the Axeda® Service application, Asset dashboard Rules module, you can view and enable or disable the rules configured for a specific asset.
