The Axeda® Platform can evaluate asset-based events for business rule conditions. Assets send event messages that identify events that occurred on that asset. Examples of events include overflow event, time event, asset restarted, SOAP command run on asset (and status), asset registered, and so on.
Each time the Platform receives an event (for example, containing a registration message from an asset), the Platform evaluates all configured and enabled event rules for the asset's model.
If there are any event rules configured for the model identified in the asset message, the Platform executes the actions associated with those rules.
From this page you can configure or modify an Event rule for the selected assets, asset groups, and models.
Type the name of the event for this rule. When the server receives an event of this name for the related asset, it will execute the assigned actions.
When you are finished, click Next
to configure the actions
for the rule, or click Finish
if you are done modifying the rule. If you click Cancel
and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed
and a list of rules appears.
o In the Axeda® Service application, Asset dashboard Rules module, you can view and enable or disable the rules configured for a specific asset.
o In the Service application, Asset dashboard Audit Log, you can view events and activity for a specific asset.
