Set ping rate actions (Category: Asset update actions) enable the Axeda® Platform to write a ping rate interval to an asset. This ping rate will overwrite any existing ping rate set on the related asset.
1. In
the Ping Rate box, type the number
of minutes that defines the ping rate interval to write to the affected
assets. This value is required.
Once this action runs, the next time the affected asset(s) contact the
Platform, the new ping rate is written to the asset(s).
2. When you are finished, click Next to select the user groups with edit permissions for this action. If you click Finish, the action confirmation page appears. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.
o In the Axeda® Service application, Asset dashboard Rules module, you can view and enable or disable the rules configured for a specific asset.
o The Service application, Asset dashboard Audit Log, shows a log of activity for the selected asset, including registration, actions run, alarms acknowledged, statuses, usage value setting, and more. Also, if you have privileges to the Administration application, you can search the Audit log for asset, Platform, and user activity.
o If an Axeda® Gateway or Axeda® Connector Agent is running in Backup mode, then you cannot use this action to change the ping rate. To be able to change the ping rate, you must switch the Agent back to Primary mode. Refer to the Backup Agent entry in the Asset dashboard topic for more information; to change the Agent back to Primary mode, refer to the Switch Agent entry in the Asset dashboard topic.
