Action wizard - Configure event action

Event actions (Category: Enterprise actions) provide a way for the Axeda® Platform to write event entries. When the rule associated with this Event action evaluates to true, the Platform writes an event entry using the information configured in this page.

To configure Event actions

1.       Type the name of the actual event and an optional description. The name is required and should match the event configuration of the asset.

2.       Type the priority level for the event. This must be a valid integer.

3.       Type the source for the event, such as the asset's serial number.

4.       Type the event type, such as Registration (asset registers with the Platform), or Data (asset sends data message to the Platform).

5.       When you are finished, click Next to select the user groups with edit permissions for this action. If you click Finish, the action confirmation page appears. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.

Tips

o        In the Axeda® Service application, Asset dashboard Rules module, you can view and enable or disable the rules configured for a specific asset.

o        The Service application, Asset dashboard Audit log module, shows a log of activity for the selected asset, including registration, actions run, alarms acknowledged, statuses, usage value setting, and more. Also, if you have privileges to the Administration application, you can search the Audit log for asset, Platform, and user activity.
