Use the Parent Server Configuration wizard to view and modify settings for Axeda Care. When supported, these communications enable customers to create a hierarchy of Platform servers that work independently of each other and enable data collection and asset control at any level. You can access this wizard from the Parent Server menu in the Axeda® Administration application.
The properties you define in this wizard specify the parent server to which this Platform communicates and forwards information. If the parent server of the current Platform also has a parent server (a grandparent server), the grandparent settings would need to be defined in the parent server.
The wizard information for a Parent Server Configuration is presented as follows:
Parent Server Configuration step - shows the properties of the parent server for this Platform; from this step you can select to delete the current parent server properties.
Parent Server Forwarding Configuration step - specify how this Platform will or will not forward information to the specified parent server. From this page you can specify the data item attributes to forward to the parent server.
Confirm Parent Server Configuration step - for the configuration properties specified for the parent server, save the properties to the Platform; otherwise, change the properties before saving or cancel the parent server configuration altogether.
Warning! When moving backward and forward through the wizard, use the wizard's Back and Next buttons. Do NOT use your browser's tools to move backward and forward.
