Parent Server wizard - Confirm step

The Confirm page of the wizard shows all the values configured for this parent server.

1. If you want to register all pre-existing assets with the parent server, select Send asset registrations to this parent server now. This child server will send a registration message for each asset to the parent server as soon as you finish the parent server configuration.

2. Do one of the following:

If the parent server settings appear correct as shown, click Finish to save the parent server configuration to the Platform.
If the parent server settings are not correct as shown, click Back and edit the values of the parent server until correct (then click Finish).

3. If you have completed this parent server configuration, click Finish and the Administration home page appears. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.

As soon as these settings are saved in the Platform, the Platform starts pinging the specified parent server and sending the configured information each post period. If the parent server is not found, this Platform queues the data to send and sends an e-mail message to the Platform administrator.

Tips

o The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o Use $image\icon_refresh.gif$ (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
