Use the tools in this page to create a new credential for the Axeda Platform, as well as define external credential parameters for the new credential.
1. Select External Credential from the New menu of the Configuration Application. The Enter the details for this new External Credential page appears.
2. Enter the following information under External Credential (only the Name is a required field):
a. Name -- (required) The unique name by which this credential can be searched for.
b. Domain -- The domain that the username belongs to.
c. Username -- The username for the account.
d. Password -- The password for the account.
e. API Key --The key used for authenticating an API user.
f. API Secret -- The oauth-style secret that corresponds to the API key.
g. Endpoint -- The URL or hostname that this credential applies to.
Note: Name, Username, Domain, and Endpoint are all searchable values from the View and Manage External Credentials page.
3. Enter any External Credential Parameters for this external credential (up to 10 parameters):
a. Enter a Name. The name must be unique for each parameter of a single account credential.
b. Enter a Value.
c. In the Action column, click Add. Continue adding up to 10 Credential Parameters, as needed.
Note: You can delete an External Credential Parameter by clicking the Delete link next to the Parameter value.
4. Click Create. The View and manage External Credentials page appears.
The next step is to assign User Group View Permissions and User Group Edit Permissions to your new external credential.
