The View and manage Asset State Groups page shows the asset state groups defined in the Platform and to which you have permissions. You can select a group and edit its attributes. In addition, you can show or hide asset state groups, or delete them from the Axeda® Platform. Hidden asset state groups are hidden temporarily in any related dashboards and excluded from calculations of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Deleting asset state groups removes them from the database and makes them unavailable to any related dashboards and for KPI calculations. If KPIs are already built on the deleted asset state groups, the KPIs will use old information for the asset state groups.
The table of Asset State Groups displays the following information for each asset state group:
o Names - name of the asset state group
o Asset State Names - the name(s) of the asset states defined for this asset group
o Description - description of the asset state group, if one was defined
o Show in Report - use to hide or show asset state groups
From this page, you can edit asset state groups, show or hide asset state groups, and delete or create asset state groups. Click the title of a procedure to display it; click the title again to hide the procedure:
Deletion of asset states and asset state groups works in a similar way to deletion of current data items and data item groups. When asset state groups or asset states are deleted using this page, only the objects are removed, not the associated data. If the Axeda Agent sends the deleted states again, then the Axeda® Platform will store information about them again. Old data will be orphaned. To remove asset states permanently, you must change the agent project, using Axeda® Builder.
