View and assign data items to this data item group

Use the tools in this page to assign data items to the data item group selected in the View data item groups configured in the server page. Users in the user group(s) defined with privileges to this data item group will be able to access to the data items defined in the data item group.

Note: If a data item has been assigned Not Stored or No History for its Storage option, then it is not available for assignment to a data item group. If you do not see a data item in the list of data items for a model that you expect to see, check its Storage option, in the Model - Data Items page of the Model wizard.

How to assign and remove data items for this data item group

1.       Do one of the following to assign data items to the data item group.

§         In the Unassigned Data Items table, select the check box(es) for all the data items you want to add to this user group and click Add Checked.

§         To add all data items shown in the current page of the table, click the check box in the table header and then click Add Checked.

§         To add all data items in the Unassigned Data Items table, click Add All. If there are multiple pages in the table, all reports from all pages are added.

The Data Items for Data Item Group table shows all data items you added.

2.       Do one of the following to remove data items from the data item group:

§         In the Data Items for Data Item Group table, select the check box(es) for all the data items you want to remove from this data item group and click Remove Checked.

§         To add remove all data items shown in the current page of the table, click the check box in the table header and then click Remove Checked.

§         To remove all data items in the Data Items for Data Item Group table, click Remove All. If there are multiple pages in the table, all reports from all pages are removed.

The Unassigned Data Items table shows all data items you removed.

  1. If you are finished adding or removing data items for this data item group, click Save Changes below the tables. If you want to cancel any changes made to this page without saving, click Cancel.

The View data item groups configured in the server page appears showing all data item groups defined in the Axeda® Platform.

Tips

o        The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o        Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o        Use image\icon_refresh.gif (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
