View and assign data item groups to this data item group

Use the tools in this page to assign data item groups to the data item group selected in the View data item groups configured in the server page. The server will treat these as "child" groups to this "parent" data item group.

Users in the user group(s) defined with privileges to this data item group will be able to access to the data items defined in the data item group.

How to assign data item groups to this data item group

1.       Do one of the following to assign data item groups to the data item group:

§         In the Unassigned Data Item Groups table, select the check box(es) for all the data item groups you want to add to this data item group and click Add Checked.

§         To add all data item groups shown in the current page of the table, click the check box in the table header and then click Add Checked.

§         To add all data item groups in the Unassigned Data Item Groups table, click Add All. If there are multiple pages in the table, all data item groups from all pages are added.

The Child Groups for Data Item Group table shows all asset groups you added.

2.       Do one of the following to remove data item groups from the data item group:

§         In the Child Groups for Data Item Group table, select the check box(es) for all the data item groups you want to remove from this data item group and click Remove checked.

§         To add remove all data item groups shown in the current page of the table, click the check box in the table header and then click Remove checked.

§         To remove all data item groups in the Child Groups for Data Item Group table, click Remove all. If there are multiple pages in the table, all data item groups from all pages are removed.

The Unassigned Data Item Groups table shows all data item groups you removed.

3.       If you are finished adding or removing data item groups for this data item group, click Save Changes below the tables. If you want to cancel any changes made to this page without saving, click Cancel.

The View data item groups configured in the server page appears showing all data item groups defined in the Axeda® Enterprise Server.
 

Tips

o        The maximum number of rows supported for returning Platform search results for this type of table is defined in your user preferences, Items Per Page setting (Long table or Short table).

o        Use the table navigation tools to view different pages and information in the table.

o        Use image\icon_refresh.gif (Refresh link) beside the table navigation tools to refresh the page with the latest Platform results. (Browser Refresh tools do not update the table.)
