This page identifies all assets for which you do not want to receive notifications. Only assets explicitly assigned to asset groups (other than the default asset groups) to which you have privileges based on your user group are shown by default. You can use the Asset Search tool to locate additional assets to which you have privileges. This page is accessible from the User Preferences page.
Notification actions can be configured to be sent to all users defined in a user group that has privileges to a specific asset. For example, if RuleA is a registration rule for AssetA and AssetA registers, RuleA evaluates to true and the Platform executes its actions; if one of these is a notification action configured to be sent to the user group with access to that asset (based on asset group privileges), the Platform sends an e-mail to each user in that user group.
If there are specific assets to which you have privileges (based on your user group settings), but for which you do not want to receive notifications, you can explicitly filter those assets. Before sending a notification to your user group, the Platform first verifies that you have not filtered notifications for the related asset.
The table displays the following columns:
o Asset - asset name. All assets identified with check marks are included on your Excluded Assets list, meaning you will not receive notifications for these assets.
o Model Number - model number for an associated asset.
o Organization - name of the organization associated with the asset.
o Location - location associated with the asset.
You can add or remove asset(s) from the list of excluded assets.
1. To specify the assets about which you do not want to receive notifications, do one of the following:
a. To exclude all assets to which you have privileges (that is, all assets contained in all pages of the table), select Exclude All.
b. To exclude only specific assets, select the check box for each asset you want to exclude and select Update Checked. Note that you will need to repeat this for each page in the table, assuming there are multiple pages from which to select assets.
2. To specify the assets about which you do want to receive notifications, do one of the following:
a. To include all assets to which you have privileges (that is, all assets contained in all pages of the table), select Include All. Any check marks are cleared for previously excluded assets.
b. To include only specific assets, clear the check box for each asset you want to include. You will need to display each page in the table and clear the checkbox of each asset manually.
3. If you do not see an asset as expected, use the Asset Search tool to locate that asset.
4. When you are done making changes, click Done or, if needed, select Cancel to remove any changes you may have made. The User Preferences page appears.
