From this page, you can set the default organization and location properties for newly registered assets. These properties are saved to the Platform for the next new asset registration and subsequent registrations. Each of these default values can be overwritten after asset registration using the tools of the Asset configuration wizard in the Axeda® Configuration application. You can also access the Location page of this wizard through the Axeda® Service application by displaying the Asset dashboard, for an asset.
From this page you can specify property values to apply to each asset when it registers with the Axeda® Platform. For assets that are running Axeda® Gateway and Axeda® Connector agents that were configured using the Axeda® Deployment Utility, this information may be provided by the Agent when it registers with the Axeda Platform. In this situation, the information from the Agent is saved in the Platform.
1. From the Default organization list, select the organization that you want to apply to new asset registrations. You can select from all organizations currently configured in the Platform. This property is required for new assets.
2. From the Default location list, select the location to apply to new asset registrations. You can select from all locations currently configured in the Platform. This property is required for new assets.
3. When an asset registers with the Axeda® Platform but does not provide one or more of these values, the Platform will provide the missing value(s) from the properties set here.
