Selection Criteria wizard - Add Selection Criteria

Specify the values to apply to this data export selection, for the selected assets. Selection criteria values include the time frames, data items, and mathematical comparisons that define which data items to export for the selected assets. Each row in the table shows the assets included in a selection criteria query, the data item values and any configured comparisons, and the date range during which the data was logged to the Platform.

Procedures from this page

From this page, you can add or remove selection criteria.

How to add selection criteria

1.       Select the date range containing the data items you want to consider for export. A date range is required for creating selection criteria. If you select Custom Date Range (the default), you can manually set the start and end dates for the selection criteria; otherwise, you need to select a logical date range, such as the current week, current month, or current year.

For all date ranges except Custom Date Range, the server adds the appropriate start and end dates. For example, for Current Year, the server defines a Start Date of January 1 of the current year and an End Date of December 31 of the current year.

2.       Type or use the calendar tool (image\calendar_icon.gif) and select the start date for the criteria. This is required for a Custom Date Range, and optional for all other date ranges: for those you can leave the values shown when you selected the date range. If you change the values shown for the start or end dates, the range becomes a Custom Date Range.

3.       Type a beginning time for the start date shown. This is optional: if you do not specify a time, a start time of 12:00 am (or 24:00:00) is applied, which is the beginning of the related day.

4.       Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the End Date and time.

5.       Select the data item to use in this selection criteria evaluation. A data item is required for creating selection criteria.

6.       Select a condition operator and type a value for the condition comparison. Specifying a condition restricts the data item values that will be exported for the selection criteria. This is optional; if you do not specify a condition, all data item values logged within the specified date range will be exported.

For example, if you select "<" (less than) and type 80, the exported data items will contain only values less than 80. The "between" condition enables you to specify a value range for export, such as all values between 10 (lower bound) and 90 (upper bound).

7.       Click Add. The defined criteria appear as a new row in the table.

8.       Repeat steps 1 through 7 to add more selection criteria.

If you need to change the selected values of the criteria shown, click Back and select different model, assets, or selection criteria values.

How to remove selection criteria

1.       From the table, select the checkboxes for each selection criteria you want to remove.

2.       Select Remove Checked to remove all selected selection criteria from the export specification.

When you are finished configuring or viewing the selection criteria, click Finish and the Data Export Query page appears showing the new selection criteria as one or more rows in the table. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed.
