Use the pages in the Region wizard to create regions or edit existing ones. This wizard prompts you for the information required to create a region. For existing regions, the wizard shows the existing information and properties for that region and permits you to make changes as needed.
The Region wizard presents the following pages:
Region definition - specify region name, description, and parent region, if applicable.
Select sub-regions - specify regions that are contained within this region.
Region Locations - specify the locations that make up this region.
Confirmation - view a summary of the region definition before saving changes.
Warning! When moving backward and forward through the wizard, use the wizard's Back and Next buttons. Do NOT use your browser's tools back and forward tools.
1. Type the new region name. This is required information. The region name can be up to 50 alphanumeric characters in length. The region appears by this name in the Axeda Applications.
2. Type an optional description of the region.
3. If this region is the "child" of another region and thus inherits locations defined for that parent, select the name of the parent region for this region. All locations specified for the parent region will be available to this "child" region as well.
1. Type the changes to make to the region. You can edit all properties of the region.
2. When you are finished, click Next to configure or view the sub-regions for this region, or click Finish if you are done modifying the region. If you click Cancel and continue canceling, all information configured in this wizard is removed and the View and manage regions page appears.
