Properties can provide user- and use-specific information for assets. You create properties on the model level, and then you can set the values for those properties for the individual assets of that model.
You can configure any information that you want to maintain for all assets of that model. For example, you can configure properties related to functionality, operation, features, users, and so on. Examples of properties may be "Category", "Industry", "Email", or "Mobile".
Once model properties are defined in the Configuration application, the values of those properties can be viewed and set for each asset using the Asset wizard - Asset properties page, and also in the Axeda® Service application, in the Asset dashboard.
