Deployment Wizard - Deployment Routing Criteria

Note: This Deployment Routing Criteria step of the Deployment Wizard is only available on an Axeda ConnectedConfiguration licensed Platform. If the Axeda Platform is not licensed for ConnectedConfiguration, you will not have access to this feature.

If you had Axeda ConnectedConfiguration licensing in the past, and created packages and deployments with Defined Configuration dependencies and routing criteria, then those packages/deployments will continue to exist once licensing is removed. However, no asset will ever become eligible for the deployments, and no new deployments can be created for existing packages with Defined Configuration dependencies.

Use this page to create and add the Defined Configuration routing criteria for this deployment. These are requirements that must be met before the deployment can be deployed to a given asset. When you select a Defined Configuration from the list, you are prompted to provide the information needed to configure it for the deployment.

Note: Defined asset configurations must have already been created via the Configuration application to be available in the list of defined configurations.

If this deployment does not require any routing criteria, click Next to skip this step.

Procedure from this page

From this page,  you can select the defined configuration routing criteria for this deployment, to limit this deployment to assets matching the chosen defined configuration.

To define dependencies

1.       From the list of dependencies, select Defined Configuration. The available defined configurations are listed in the table of defined configurations.

2.       Select a defined configuration by selecting its radio button in the right column.

Tip! You can search for a specific defined configuration by typing in the fields above the Defined Configuration Name column and/or the Description column to search by Name and Description. Then click Filter.

3.       Click Add. The defined configuration you selected appears in the Routing Criteria list.

4.       Repeat steps 1-3 for all defined configurations you want to add for this deployment.

You can also remove Routing Criteria you've added by selecting the check box for the criteria you want to remove and clicking Remove Checked.

5.       Click Next to either Select Assets (if you chose a manual deployment) or Schedule the deployment (if you chose an automatic deployment).
