Configuration Application privileges

The following table lists all of the privileges associated with the Axeda® Configuration application and explains what granting the privilege enables the user to do and what element (s) of the user interface is (are) affected by the privilege. If other privileges are required for any activity in addition to the one described, they are listed under "Other Requirements or Considerations."

For users to perform any activity in the Configuration application, they must have the privilege, Configuration - View. Otherwise, they cannot even see the Configuration tab and they cannot perform the activity, even if they are assigned the corresponding privilege.

Some privileges for the Configuration application enable users to perform activities in both the Configuration and Axeda® Service application. For these activities, you must ensure that the users have the View privileges to both applications (that is, Configuration - View AND Service - View). For information concerning privileges for the Service application, refer to Service Application privileges.

For privileges to functionality that is available only through Web services (that is, Extended Object and Geofence functionality, and some ConnectedConfiguration functionality), refer to Web Services privileges.
