Update your e-mail address and password

Note: Only Platform administrators or non-administrative users with authenticated login accounts can modify their passwords.

From this page, you can change your e-mail address and password in the Applications. This change replaces the information as set in the Platform, and will be your new e-mail address and password for ALL applications that use the Platform. The changes are effective immediately; for instance, you need to use the new password when you next log into the Applications.

This page is accessible from the User Preferences page.

Note: Users whose accounts were initially created in LDAP cannot change their passwords here. Users whose accounts were created in the Axeda Applications can change their passwords here. Contact your Platform administrator if there is a problem.

To change your user attributes

1.       Type the e-mail address to which you want the Axeda® Platform to send e-mail messages intended for you. Make sure you type the address in the correct format, for example yourname@company.com.

Note: If you forget your password, reset password instructions will be sent to this address.

2.       Type your new password. There are no restrictions on the number or type of characters supported, so *, &, %, all numbers, all letters, and so forth can be defined in your password. You must enter a password that differs from the current one.

3.       Type your new password a second time. This field is required and must match that entered in the New Password box.

4.       Type your current password. This field is required.

Note: Remember that the password will be case-sensitive, so if you type a new password of "MyPassWord" you will need to type the same uppercase and lowercase letters each time you use that password.

5.       Type your new password again. This field is required.

6.       Click Submit.

The User Preferences page appears again with a message similar to the following:

         "Your attributes were updated successfully."

If you click Cancel, the User Preferences page appears.
