The option to redeploy a package is available from the Package Deployment Manager page. If Redeploy is available for an action, the Redeploy link appears active in the Actions column for a deployment. Redeployed deployments behave the same as normal deployments with the exception that users may not redeploy a redeployed deployment. Only an original deployment can be redeployed.
Note: If a package has expired, then the option to redeploy is not available.
1. In the Actions column for a deployment, click the Redeploy link. The Redeploy Deployment page appears.
2. Choose one of the following options:
Note: Redeployment of a package is not affected by Force Redelivery, even if force redelivery is enabled for the initial deployment.
§ Redeploy To All -- Select this to redeploy the deployment to all eligible assets, regardless of whether the package was successfully deployed or not.
§ Redeploy To Failed -- Select this option to redeploy the deployment to all eligible assets that failed the original deployment attempt.
3. Click Redeploy.
After you redeploy a package, a new deployment is created based on the original deployment with a prefix of "Redeploy" on the deployment name. Any assets that no longer meet the dependency requirements for the deployment are marked as Ineligible. Any asset deployments that are already in progress from the original deployment are skipped (indicated by a status of Skipped). The completed asset deployments are then redeployed based on the redeploy option (redeploy to all or redeploy to failed) you selected.
