The following table lists the types of users in a Platform configured for Delegated Administration and describes their access to Cases:
User |
Access |
Principal Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications Administrator |
Access to ALL Cases in the system (as long as the Platform is licensed for Axeda Case Management). |
Non administrator with correct privileges |
As long as the Platform is licensed for Axeda Case Management, access to all Cases associated with asset groups assigned to this user's user group. If the non-admin users do not have access to an asset, they cannot see the cases for that asset, no matter who created the cases. |
1st level DA user (DA1) 2nd level DA user (DA1-1) Another DA user within same DA as DA1 |
As long as the Platform is licensed for Axeda Case Management, access to the cases for assets to which the users in the DA unit have access. The only way a DA user can see a Case created by a child-DA user is if the DA user has access to the asset. A DA user in DA1 cannot see Cases created by a DA user in another DA at the same level (say DA2), unless for some reason, the user in DA1 has access to assets in DA2. |
