You can assign units of measure to asset data items to better identify their contents. Assets can include units when sending data items to the Platform. The units of measure you create or edit here can be applied to selected data items in the Model wizard, Data Items step.
Units of measure can also be created from the Model wizard when configuring data items for that model.
Type a name for this unit of measure. A name is required to create new units of measure.
Optionally, type a short name for this unit of measure.
Note: If you type a short name, this is the name displayed for selection when applying this unit of measure to a data item. If you do not include a short name, the name defined in step 1 is shown to the user when applying the unit of measure to a data item.
Optionally, type a description of this unit of measure.
Select the data item type to which this unit of measure applies.
Click Create.
