You can use the Asset Search tool to find Platform entries for specific assets to which you have privileges but that do not appear in the tables shown in the Select Assets pages of the Deployment and Upload Request wizards. As in all Axeda® Connected Product Management Applications pages, you are restricted to viewing and accessing only those assets and models to which you privileges.
The Asset Search tool supports multiple levels of filtering. For example, you can view all assets of a specific model, only those assets that are installed at a specified location, only those assets with names beginning with "Dev" installed at a specific location, and so on.
1. In the Asset Search popup, type or select the information identifying the assets you want to find, as follows:
§ Name: Type the name of the asset, using the "*" wildcard to represent the part of the name that you do not type.
§ Serial Number: Type the serial number of the asset, using the "*" wildcard to represent the part of the number that you do not type.
§ Model: Select the name of the model from the list. .
§ Organization: Select the name of organization to which the assets you want to find are assigned.
§ Location: Type the city, state, country for the location of the asset. Use the "*" wildcard character as needed.
§ Asset Group: From the list, select the name of the asset group to which the assets you want to find are assigned. Note that the list displays only the asset groups to which you have privileges. Once you select an asset group, the fully qualified path to the asset group appears in the Parent Asset Group field.
Note: It is possible for two asset groups of the same name to exist in two different asset group hierarchies. Check the Parent Asset Group field to be sure that you have the correct asset group.
§ Asset Conditions: Select the current status or condition of asset (these asset conditions are created in Axeda® Configuration application)
2. Click Search. The Platform returns all values that contain the characters you specified. If you leave all filter boxes blank or at their defaults and click Search, the Platform shows all assets in the Platform to which you have privileges.
The database entries found according to your search criteria appear in Available Assets table in the Select Assets page.
In the displayed pop-up, click Cancel or click Asset Search again. Any search values you may have typed or selected are ignored.
