When you are running the Axeda® Platform in redundant-gateways mode, you can create rules that respond to changes in the connectivity between assets and the multiple gateways that manage them. Axeda recommends that you use this rule and not the Is Missing and Returned Asset rules when running in this mode.
From this page, select the connectivity state changes that you want to trigger an action. If any of the state changes occur, the rule executes (and any actions associated with the rule run).
Important! Connectivity rules are triggered as the transitions occur, not when the transition is complete.
This page shows the possible changes in connectivity using the connected and disconnected icons, in a table format. The icons are shown in pairs: the first icon in the pair represents the connection of assets to their managing gateway and the second icon represents the connection of the managing gateway to the Platform.

1. In the From column of table, locate the starting connectivity state. For example, All Connected .
2. In the To row of the table, locate the ending connectivity state. For example, Partially Connected .
3. Click the check box at the intersection of the start column and end row. Using the example, the selected change is From All Connected to Partially Connected.
4. Click Next to display the Actions page of the Rule wizard.
